San Sebastian - Course Information
SAN SEBASTIAN: Course Information
Recognized for its committed professors, Lacunza’s dedication goes beyond the classroom to student accommodation and extracurricular activities. Lacunza’s methodology is very practical and requires a wide use of the language in the classes. For example, following a grammar lesson, you are required to apply what you have learned to a practical, real world situation. The exercises are first very controlled, and then are practiced more freely so you incorporate the new structures into your speech, while gradually adding new vocabulary.

STUDENTS
Coming from 40 different countries, about 20% of Lacunza’s students are from the USA, with Europeans being the highest percentage. The minimum age is 17 (but there is a special Junior Program for ages 14 - 16.) There is a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Some adults come as couples or with a friend, but many arrive unaccompanied and are quickly able to find interesting friends both in the school and in the city.
The reasons for studying are just as varied...some for professional purposes, others for travel, and even those who just enjoy the cultural and intellectual stimulation. Students also come at any level of Spanish, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced.
