Intercultura - Travel Information
Travel Information
You make your own flight arrangements into San José. Most students arrive on Sunday and depart on the Saturday following their last class. Heredia is actually closer to the airport than the capital city itself. If you are only going to the Samara Beach campus you can take the bus from San José directly into Samara Beach (five hour bus ride). Also, Liberia airport is about 1.5 hours from Samara Beach and can sometimes have great flight deals.

Airport Transportation
Intercultura includes a complimentary pickup at the airport to transport you to your host family if you are studying in Heredia. This service is offered no matter what time your flight arrives, and it is a very nice way to start your study in a warm and personal way. Return is not included, but can be easily arranged at reasonable cost.
Travel Documents
A valid passport is needed to enter Costa Rica for a stay of 90 days. If your study period is longer, the school will assist in arranging an extension.
