    Activities

    The school offers a comprehensive activity program, both in the school and around the city. There are parties and meetings organized at the school to meet with Spanish students. Every week Spanish films are shown, as well as talks, conferences and recitals. The city’s climate encourages all kinds of outdoor activities, and there are many fairs. Every week students have free excursions to cultural places within the city, and each month excursions to nearby cities such as Sevilla, Granada or Ronda are available at an optional cost ($20 to $30). Guided visits within the city would include visits to such places as the great mosque-cathedral, the Alcázar of the Christian Kings, the Bullfighting Museum, and a sixteenth century inn visited by Cervantes, the author of Don Quijote. There are visits to all the fiestas of Córdoba, including the Festival of the Patios and the world famous Guitar Festival in June (Bob Dylan played in 2003). Other trips include visits to wine cellars and excursions to hermitages and national parks.
