Barcelona - Testimonials
My experience was excellent. The International House has a very effective teaching method. My teacher was very competent. My instructor was the best I have had so far. My host family was extremely welcoming. They made me feel at home right away. The accommodations were very nice and private, located in a separate area from the rest of the apartment. – Monique Lathrop, French Teacher, Denver CO
I attended International House in Barcelona for four weeks and would rate my experience as a 4.5 out of 5. My instructors, especially Carmen and Virginia, were excellent and thoroughly explained (in Spanish, of course!) the meanings of words and involved us in a lot of interactive work in small groups. I also arranged for two private lessons with Nardi, who was an outstanding teacher. The school is very well run, with friendly office personnel (particularly Marnee and Monica), and there were social excursions at least three days each week. The excursions were very enjoyable with a Spanish tour guide, and I was able to get to know students from other countries. There is a restaurant/bar within the school with friendly staff, and this was convenient for our class breaks and occasional quick lunches. My host family, Carmen Aragones Romero, was terrific. With the executive accommodation, I had a private bath and breakfast, and Carmen prepared a variety of breakfast foods and café con leche each morning. She spoke no English but we were able to have some good conversations, even with my limited speaking ability. I could not have asked for a more pleasant, quiet home environment located within about 20 minutes of the school. She also had students from Portugal and Italy during the time of my stay, so Spanish was the language that all of us spoke when we were together. I would highly recommend International House of Barcelona to any other student who would like an excellent environment for learning and cultural experiences.

The school is great in comparison to other Language Link schools I have been with, very organized, and great school sponsored tours and activites. I had two different instructors and loved both classes. - Aron Kay Montgomery, Student, Texas
My teacher was well organized and moved from topic to topic in cohesive order. I felt like she was well trained and knew how to keep us interested and engaged while at the same time staying on topic. My host mother was absolutely fabulous. The food I ate was wonderful and she was great at helping me find stuff and with conversing with me. She was extremely patient and repeated herself when necessary when we had a miscommunication and I didn't know what she said. I would recommend her to anyone. - Meryl Davis, Student, Texas
The school was very friendly, organized, comfortable, and was in a great location in Barcelona...I learned more in this class than any other Spanish classes I've taken in the U.S. I was so sad to leave! - Monica Slater, Marketing, CA
