Located in the northeast of Spain, Barcelona is one of the most interesting and attractive cities in the world. Cosmopolitan and avant-garde, Barcelona presents visitors with countless artistic, cultural and historical attractions:

The Mediterranean climate means that you can count on good weather for your stay whenever you choose to come, and the enticing beaches of the Costa Brava or the ski slopes of the Pyrenees are both within easy reach of the city. Barcelona has its own sandy beaches, less than 15 minutes away from the school. The city’s geographical position also makes it an easy city to reach, as there are many direct flights.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The school offers a varied program of activities for you at no extra charge. Activities regularly include: Welcome and farewell cocktails, guided visits to places of interest in Barcelona, Spanish films with discussion, and ventures into the city’s nightlife.

Throughout much of the year, the school also arrange day trips to places of interest outside of Barcelona, such as the Salvador Dali museum in Figueras, the provincial capitals of Gerona and Tarragona, the beaches of Costa Brava, and the sacred mountain of Montserrat. All you pay is a small amount for transportation.

IH also makes it easy for you to set up language exchanges with local Spanish students studying English, French or German at the school.
